Greetings From Michigan: The Great Lake State
Sufjan Stevens beautiful concept album about the state of Michigan. Fear not, you need to know nothing of the place, just bask in the remarkable talents of this multi-instrumentalist. Moving from exquisite folk to exhuberant mini-symphonies, Stereolab / Steve Reich style lush grooves and heaps more in between through poetic tales about the state. Bizarre concept aside this is a wonderful and deeply addictive album.
